Paul Powney
Technical Sales Director
Paul has been involved in the NZ Marine Industry for over 33 years. Starting out his career in the RNZN for six years as a weapons and electrical mechanic before taking up a Sales role with TransDiesel where he was heavily involved in the sale of Marine Diesel engines and generators before moving into a National Sales Management role with TransDiesel for their consumables division. Following 21 years with TransDiesel, Paul took on the role of CEO for the NZ Sailing Trust (the custodians of Sir Peter Blakes Steinlager 2 and Lion New Zealand) growing their revenue and increasing their outcomes for youth, overseeing the refit of Lion New Zealand and putting in robust systems systems and processes to improve efficiency. In early 2021 Paul and his wife Helen had the opportunity to take on the distribution for Takacat and Stingray Marine. Paul studied a Grad Dip Bus (Admin) with University of Auckland and holds a National Certificate in Marine Sales and Service. Helen and Paul's family enjoy time on the water and own their own boat.
Anna Leech
Dealer Development and Marketing Director
After completing her Bachelor of Business Degree in Sports and Tourism management Anna went to the UK for her OE. After returning she started a family having two daughters. As a competitive sailer in her youth she loves to get out on the water when she can and has a passion for sports and the outdoors. In early 2021 Anna had the opportunity to take on the distribution for Takacat throughout Australia, Asia & Middle East and is excited to now also introduce Stingray Marine RIBS to some of these regions.
